Largo, MD – The Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission announce their upcoming public events and meetings for December 2023. Prince George’s County Planning Board Meetings

The Prince George’s County Planning Board meets virtually on Thursdays to consider planning, zoning, subdivision, and other matters within its jurisdiction. The meetings may be viewed via live streaming video. Public participation is encouraged either through a phone bridge or by using GoTo Meeting. Everyone who wishes to speak at the Planning Board meeting must register online by Noon on the Tuesday, two days prior to the Planning Board meeting. Written comments, documents, and exhibits must be received via email, fax, or mail by Noon on the Tuesday before the Planning Board meeting to be included in the record. The Active Transportation Advisory Group Meeting

The Active Transportation Advisory Group holds virtual quarterly meetings to discuss general issues impacting bicycle, pedestrian, and share use paths in Prince George’s County. Register in advance to attend.
Port Towns Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment Kickoff Meeting
Wednesday, December 6 | 6:00 p.m.
The Prince George’s County Planning Department will host an in-person public kickoff meeting for the Port Towns Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment and Sector Plan at Colmar Manor Town Hall. The project re-examines the Port Towns area for redevelopment possibilities through the lens of zoning, land use, market conditions, and environmental constraints. The Plan will replace the 2009 Approved Port Towns Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment to identify updated, achievable, and realistic long-term vision, goals, policies, and strategies for the area. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance. Virtual participation is also available via Zoom. Riverdale Park Legacy Mixed-Use Town Center (LMUTC) Design Review Committee Public Meeting

RT 1 Land Redevelopment Study Community Meeting and Briefing
Thursday, December 7 | 6:30 p.m.
The Prince George’s County Planning Department will host a Community Presentation and Briefing on the U.S. Route 1 Land Redevelopment Study at the Beltsville Community Center, 3900 Sellman Road, Beltsville, Maryland. Planning staff will brief residents and area stakeholders on ways to improve the study area along the Route 1 Corridor boundary from Quimby Avenue to Sunnyside Avenue, adjacent to the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and the immediate surrounding neighborhoods. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
Subdivision and Development Review Committee Meetings

Subdivision and Development Review Committee (SDRC) is a coordination and interagency meeting early in the development review process with the applicant and M-NCPPC staff, where the public can be invited to virtually view the meeting only. Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission

Hosted by the Prince George’s County Planning Department, the Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission meeting will be held virtually on the third Tuesday of the month. M-NCPPC Full Commission Meeting
