LARGO, Md. – The Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) announce their upcoming public events and meetings for October 2026. The Prince George’s County Planning Board meets on Thursdays to consider planning, zoning, subdivision, and other matters within its jurisdiction. The meetings may be viewed in person at the M-NCPPC, Parks and Recreation Administration Building in Riverdale and via live streaming video. Public participation is encouraged. Everyone who wishes to speak virtually or in person at the Planning Board meeting must register online by noon on the Tuesday, two days prior to the Planning Board meeting. Written comments, documents, and exhibits must be received via email, hand delivery, or mail by noon on the Tuesday before the Planning Board meeting to be included in the record. The Prince George’s County Planning Board will hold its 2026 Budget Forums this fall, to solicit comments on the M-NCPPC budget for planning, parks, and recreation in Prince George’s County for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2027. Individuals who wish to speak are encouraged to register in advance by Noon, the day before the forum. Subdivision and Development Review Committee Meeting

Subdivision and Development Review Committee (SDRC) is a coordination and interagency meeting early in the development review process with the applicant and M-NCPPC staff, where the public can be invited to virtually view the meeting only. The meetings are held virtually and may be viewed via live streaming video. The agendas are posted online.

As part of its Placemaking Around Town Program, the M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will join the City of College Park for College Park Day on Saturday, October 3, from noon – 6 p.m. Planners will share concepts for the North College Park Placemaking Initiative and collect feedback from residents. Celebrate Fort Washington Fall Festival

As part of its Placemaking Around Town Program, the M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will join Fort Washington Forward for its 3rd Annual Celebrate Fort Washington Fall Festival on Saturday, October 3, from noon – 5 p.m. The community event celebrates families and small businesses while transforming Cady Drive into a “Main Street” demonstration. Environmental Technical Manual Part E: Public Information Session

The Prince George’s County Planning Department will host a virtual public information session to share proposed changes to Part E of the Environmental Technical Manual which will guide development and environmental protection in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area.
