3. Why are you called "the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission" when you only serve Prince George's and Montgomery counties?

Article 28 of the Annotated Code of Maryland empowered the Commission to prepare and administer a General Plan for the physical development of a Regional District for the two Maryland counties that border the District of Columbia, namely Prince George's and Montgomery counties.

The potential for career growth is available through a combination of education, experience, and opportunity. The Prince George's Planning Department has about 180 career positions. However, our staff have access to career growth in all of M-NCPPC, which includes several thousand positions.
