Volunteer

Programming and stewardship of Dinosaur Park would not be possible without the assistance of our dedicated volunteers. Volunteers assist staff by running public programs, identifying and cataloging fossils, and providing visitor services. We also need help maintaining our new Garden for Dinosaurs. 

Prospective volunteers should first email dinosaurpark@pgparks.com to learn about current opportunities. Interested candidates will be required to attend a four-hour Saturday public program to meet staff, learn proper collection methods, and understand volunteer responsibilities. Volunteers will then register on the Prince George’s County Parks and Recreation Volunteer Page and go through a background check process.
