2020 Centenarian Recognition
M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County would like to celebrate county residents who are ages 100 & older.
If you know someone who resides in Prince George’s County, is 100 years or older (born no later than 1920), and would like special recognition, please contact the Centenarian Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Please include the centenarian’s name and address, and contact person’s name and telephone number.
The deadline to register is June 5, 2020.
All registrants will be contacted by the Centenarian Coordinator to plan an individualized social distancing recognition visit. For more information, please call 301-446-3403.
Classes & Programs
Learn, play, relax, socialize and stay fit at Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) parks and facilities. Attend classes, or go to an exhibit or performance. You can use the parks, trails and recreation facilities at your leisure, alongside people of all ages or with other seniors 60 & better. Some of the services and programs offered include:
- The arts
- Fitness/health/wellness programs and classes
- Social activities
Free Fitness Membership
Did you know seniors aged 60 & better who are residents of Prince George's or Montgomery Counties can exercise at any Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) community center fitness room for free with an M-NCPPC Community Center/Fitness Identification Card? Just bring verification of residency and age to the center to obtain your free senior membership card. Fitness room amenities vary by site and allow you to exercise at times and locations convenient for you.
Senior Days at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex offer free use of the facility's pool, fitness
Reduced rates are available for seniors 60 & better at Enterprise Golf Course, Paint Branch Golf Course, and Henson Creek Golf Course. Many aquatic, exercise and fitness classes are also available throughout the county.
